cultural center and museum devoted to the history of Berlin's Jews

Dedicated to the memory of the Berlin Jews who were deported from
this site. Berlin's oldest Jewish cemetery, dating from 1671, is
behind the memorial. The cemetery was destroyed by the Nazis; the
only headstone re-erected after the War is that of Moses Mendelssohn.
